Product engineer
To support our growth, SecurActive is looking for a talented NPM / APM product engineer.
Mission
Our product engineers take care of the following tasks:
- Run proofs of concept
- Offer support to our VA resellers
- Run training sessions (for end users and partners)
- Professional services (implementation and consulting)
Profile
You should be passionate about network and performance analsysis with:
- An expertise on LAN / WAN / TCP/UP and sniffer technologies
- A good understanding of Linux systems
- A strong background in network analysis, troubleshooting and performance measurement.
- Good analytical skills.
Location
Position based in Paris with travels. Home office is allowed.

Software Developer
We look for a talented software developer.
You are an open source software lover; join us to develop our product range. Manage by the R&D manager; you will integrate an R&D team.
Technical context
Our current products are split into three parts:
- a Homemade sniffer,
- a middleware which manage data,
- a web-based user interface.
Current SLOC: ~100K
SLOC (from the product beginning): ~350K
Company culture
We develop and maintain our products for years, a certain level of quality is needed to detect and fix our errors as soon as possible:
- An interesting unit and functional test coverage
- A regular refactoring
- A peer review before pushing on the main branch
- A continuous integration
- A continuous deployment on a simulated production
We use a Kanban to organize or work, furthering the taking of initiative and the personal commitment, far away from the "Command and Control" culture. We really try to keep in mind the continuous improvement in our work.
Profile
We look for a curious and passionate developer with good technical skills. The person will be able to learn and teach and will be a good team player. The developer must be a courageous and humble person who will be able to question and interact with others. All these are prerequisites. Ideally, the developer we recruit will have strong knowledge in one of these areas:
- TCP/IP, protocols analysis, firewall
- Data mining, handling large database (>100 GB)
- Virtualization
The knowledge of this type of product is a huge plus.
No degree is required; you will be evaluating based on your ability.

- Language : Python, C, Guile, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bash
- Infrastructure: Debian, OpenBSD, Buildbot, LXC
- For development: Git, Buildout, Reviewboard
- Software platform: Linux, Zope3, Debian, Postgresql
Apart from two proprietary flash libraries, the company infrastructure and sotware components are based on open source software. The list is not fixed and we examin every technology that could be useful for us: BD nosql, Erlang, Lua, Pyramid, etc.

Since early 2011, the non - business source code is released into the public domain. The code is available on GitHub (https://github.com/securactive).
