SecurActive is proud to announce the official release of version 2.9 of Performance Vision.
In this release, you will find new features like:

  • Performance Vision as a Virtual Appliance
Performance Vision is now available as a software appliance. The virtual appliances can be run as stand alone units or in a dsitributed mode (pollers or collector). They offer new ways to leverage Performance Vision's powerful troubleshooting capabilities: deploy in remote sites thanks to very affordable license costs, deploy remotely and avoid the constraints of physical shipping, capture and analyze virtual traffic.

  • Alerting for Business Critical Application and Business Critical Network performance (through SNMP)
Performance Vision's SNMP MIB has been enhanced to include key performance indicators integrated in the Business Critical Application and Network dashboard; Alerts based on performance threshold can now be generated through SNMP polling.
This MIB provides an extended set of metrics and enables you to generate custom alerts on application and network performance.

  • New metric: 0-Window
Performance Vision provides a new metric called "0-Window". This metric indicates the number of times when a receiver's buffer is full and the sender must wait to send more data. This metric is key for understanding slow data transfer, especially for applications carrying large volumes of data (e.g. medical imaging, design applications, etc.).

0-window

  • Extended support for name services
In addition to DNS, Performance Vision will track volumes, errors and response times for a set of name resolution services: NetBIOS, LLMNR, mDNS and NDNS/WINS.

  • Advanced filtering
Performance Vision now combines simplified menus with enhanced filtering capabilities.

  • Improved data presentation
Performance Vision's drill down for TCP conversations and events has been improved for more simplicity.

  • Regular Expression for Web Applications
You can now use regular expressions to define Web application patterns; this will help define precise patterns to recognize Web applications.
